The Galaxy Z8 Series is engineered for years of everyday folding. Every model uses a refined, durable hinge, and the Galaxy Z Fold8 and Fold8 Ultra add the new Flex Titanium display structure, which embeds a titanium layer for greater rigidity and long-term resilience. Combined with Samsung's durability testing, the hinge is made to hold up through repeated daily opening and closing, so folding and unfolding remains smooth and dependable across the life of the device.

Yes. The Galaxy Z Fold8, Fold8 Ultra and Flip8 are built for daily folding with a refined, durable hinge, and the two Fold models add Samsung's Flex Titanium display technology for extra resilience. Each device also carries an IP48 rating for dust and water resistance. Together, these help the hinge and display stay reliable through everyday routines, from quick checks on the cover screen to longer sessions on the main display.

Yes. On the Galaxy Z Fold8, One UI 9 lets you run apps side by side using two-way and three-way split view on the wider main screen, with a single tap to switch between windows. You can also use pop-up view for a floating, resizable app, pin frequent apps to the Taskbar, and save app pairs to reopen your usual combinations together, keeping a document, browser and chat open at once.

For heavy multitasking, the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra is the productivity focused model, pairing an 8 inch main screen with up to 16GB RAM, up to 1TB storage and Samsung DeX for a desktop-style workspace. The Galaxy Z Fold8 also handles side-by-side apps well on its wider 7.6 inch screen. The Galaxy Z Flip8 suits quick tasks through its FlexWindow cover screen. Your choice depends on how much screen space you need.

Split screen on the Galaxy Z Fold8 lets you run apps side by side on the main display, so you can read a document while replying to messages, browse the web while watching a video, or reference a chat while editing. One UI 9 supports two-way and three-way layouts, and you can resize each window, drag content between apps, and save frequent combinations as app pairs for one-tap access.

Yes. The Galaxy Z Fold8 supports split screen through Multi Window in One UI 9, letting you open multiple apps at once on the 7.6 inch main display with two-way and three-way views. You can resize windows, use pop-up view for a floating app, and pin favourites to the Taskbar. It makes the wider screen ideal for reading, editing and staying across several apps together.

Yes. The Galaxy Z Fold8 has a 10MP front camera at F2.2 on the main screen and a 10MP F2.2 cover camera, both well suited to clear video calls. For sharper results, you can also use the rear 50MP camera with the cover screen as a viewfinder, giving high-quality footage for calls and content. The large main display makes it easy to see participants during meetings.

Galaxy Z Fold8 has a dual rear camera: a 50MP wide camera at F1.8 with OIS and a 50MP ultra-wide at F1.9. It provides 2x optical quality zoom, enabled by the Adaptive Pixel sensor, and digital zoom up to 10x. The front camera is 10MP at F2.2, the cover camera is 10MP at F2.2, and video records up to 8K at 30fps.

Yes. The Galaxy Z Fold8 records video up to 8K at 30fps, along with slow motion at 240fps in FHD and 120fps in FHD and UHD. Its dual 50MP rear cameras with OIS, backed by the ProVisual Engine and Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy, capture detailed, stable footage. You can frame using the cover screen and review your footage on the large main display.

The Galaxy Z Fold8 works well for vlogging. Its dual 50MP rear cameras record up to 8K at 30fps with OIS for steady footage, and you can use the cover screen as a viewfinder to frame yourself while shooting on the higher-resolution rear camera. The large main display makes reviewing and editing straightforward, while the flat folded design and 4800mAh battery support longer shooting sessions.

The Galaxy Z Fold8's main display comes with a factory-fitted protective film designed to last with normal use. It is a component of the folding screen, so it should not be removed yourself, as doing so can damage the display. Over time, if it shows wear, Samsung authorised service centres can replace it. Keeping the fold clean and handling the screen gently helps the protector last longer.

A slight crease is inherent to foldable displays, but the Galaxy Z Fold8's Flex Titanium structure adds rigidity that helps the display hold its shape and keeps the crease less visible. With the refined hinge and Samsung's durability engineering, the display is made to stay consistent through everyday folding. Keeping the fold clean and handling the screen with care helps maintain it over time.

The Galaxy Z Fold8 is built with an Advanced Armor Aluminum frame and Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 3 on the cover screen for solid drop and scratch resistance, plus an IP48 rating for dust and water resistance. The new Flex Titanium display adds internal rigidity. For extra peace of mind against accidental damage, Samsung Care+ can cover drops and knocks for eligible devices.

The hinge guides how the display folds, and the Galaxy Z Fold8 Series uses a refined hinge with the Flex Titanium structure to distribute folding stress and help the screen keep its shape. This reduces crease visibility and supports long-term durability. Keeping the fold free of grit and closing the phone gently helps the display stay smooth and consistent through daily use.

A faint crease remains, as it is inherent to foldable displays, but it is noticeably less visible on the Galaxy Z Fold8 thanks to the new Flex Titanium structure that adds display rigidity, along with an anti-reflection main screen that helps the fold line blend in. Viewed straight on during everyday use, the crease is subtle and does not interrupt content on the large display.

Yes. Apps run on the Galaxy Z Fold8's 7.6 inch 4:3 main screen and 10:16 cover screen, with One UI 9 optimising layouts for the wider display. Most apps scale automatically to fill the screen, and you can fine-tune how individual apps display through the aspect ratio settings if you prefer. This ensures your everyday apps look right whether you are on the cover or main screen.

Yes. One UI 9 lets you control how apps appear on the Galaxy Z Fold8. You can set individual apps to fill the full main screen or keep their original aspect ratio, and use Multi Window to run them in split screen or pop-up view. These settings give you flexibility to tailor each app to the wider display for the most comfortable layout.

Yes. App Continuity in One UI 9 lets you move seamlessly between screens on the Galaxy Z Fold8. Start an app on the cover screen, then unfold to continue in the same place on the larger main display, or fold to carry on where you left off. This keeps your task uninterrupted as you switch between the cover and main screens.

Yes. The Galaxy Z Fold8 ships with Android and One UI 9 and is supported by Samsung's long-term update commitment, with up to seven generations of major OS upgrades plus ongoing security updates. This helps keep the device current with new features, improvements and protections over years of use.
