I have been a loyal z flip girly since the first generation and I have throughly felt like every new flip came with updates that were absolutely worth the upgrade year after year. The 8 does have decent updates; however, these updates are more so for convenience rather than needs for increased usability. For me personally, I could've gone without the upgrade to the 8. I only upgraded due to the rumors of this being the last flip so I wanted to make sure I had the latest version if this were to be true. I think if you enjoy the flip 7 and don't need or can't afford the upgrade, then you're good and aren't missing out on much.

The new Galaxy Z Flip8 is everything I hoped for. I chose the Z Flip series because of its compact size. The Z Flip5 was the first one I owned, and I hadn't upgraded until now. This new model is much thinner and a little wider. It's an obvious improvement over three generations, so it feels great and is noticeably faster. The battery lasts much longer, which is very important to me because I use my phone for work.
The camera is also an improvement, although I wish it were as good as the Galaxy Note's. Still, the compact size is what matters most to me.
I can't give a complete review of the phone yet because I just started using it, but it's definitely a huge improvement over my last one.

I have owned the Z flip 3, 5, and now the eight. I chose this because it's easy to put in my pocket. I have always liked foldable phones. This new generation shows a lot of improvements over the previous ones I had. First of all, the crease is no longer visible. I am hoping that the screen protector will stay on longer than on my previous phones. I have yet to use the camera and try the AI for photo enhancement. But I am looking forward to doing that. The larger battery gives me longer working time and the improved cameras should improve my pictures.

I chose the new Z-Flip 8 for its capabilities. Specifically the new software which enabled me to work seamlessly across applications. Integrating the apps and system with the new AI gives the ability to conceive, plan and execute my calendar, tasks, and events on time. This is due to the sharing of data, notifications and productivity files. The camera is also a step up as the pictures are sharp and well organized. The flip feature is to my liking as it gives me a simple, small, fit in pocket phone I can unobtrusively carry and use it folded for quick calls, texts, etc. When opened, the Z-Flip 8 pro idea a broader landscape to view articles, watch videos, and compose e-mail or letters.

I mainly use my phone for communication and work but with the newest version, feeling more sleek and fast compared to the previous version I owned the Z Flip5, runs more faster, having alot more space and battery usage. Definitely needed to get this phone the moment it was announced and will definitely continue buying/supporting Samsung with their products. As they delivered my new phone days early and easy to transport all my storage to the new phone, definitely recommended to other people who see my phone and are interested in how it folds and works.

I chose a new model of the z flip series again because I just love the size when folded. I can fit is into my pockets and it doesn't slide out; Yet I have all the real estate of a larger size phone-- and a bit more that the prior z flip series without losing the convenience of the smaller folded size. I haven't had it long, but everything just seems slicker and some new features. Love it!!!

I chose the ZFlip8 because I had a previous generation of the flip series (Zflip5) and I LOVE this phone. I love that it's compact, that I can hang-up a call by closing the phone, and the camcorder function by holding it sideways was ingenious programming. I love a phone that grows with me and can handle my day-to-day while in my pocket. I will never, ever switch to another device as long as Samsung keeps refreshing this model but that Fold8 almost got me.

One more thing, when I take photo using cover screen (for selfie with main camera), the preview looks more clear and sharp than Flip6. I don't know why but it just look better quality now.
Overall I'm happy I upgrade

I am so happy I chose to upgrade to the Flip 8! The mint green color is so bright and cheery! The size compared to the Flip 7 is the same, but the hinge feels so much smoother. I have upgraded yearly since the Flip 3 and dont regret it! I love the small size for women's tiny pants pockets!

I chose to go back to a Samsung flip phone after trading in my Flip 5 for an S25 Ultra. I loved my Ultra but I love the flip so much more. It's cute, it's compact, and I can open and shut it. I also prefer the keyboard and the size of the phone since it is easier for me to type and handle.
I almost got the Flip 7 for the gorgeous cobalt blue color (GBA SP nostalgia), but then we I found out they were releasing a pink Flip 8 I had to wait. The color is absolutely stunning and I am beyond happy with it. I also think the screen on this phone is a noticeable improvement from my Ultra 25. All in all I am incredibly happy with my purchase and I am going to stick with the Z line in the future!

I chose the flip 8 for myself because I had the flip four and the flip six and I absolutely love them the flip 8 is turning out to be the best one yet that is very lightweight very easy to use setup is a breeze nothing complicated at all couple answers yes and you're ready to go the phone does the rest it is very stylish so comfortable for your hand just not make that cracking sound in the center of the screen when you flip it up like the other two did they work that out very quick to respond to anything you wanted to do absolutely love this phone purchasing it was a breeze with T-Mobile on their trade-in program keep going it is amazing

I chose the new flip 8 as I've previously owned the 5 & then 6. Had some issues with the 6 initially as the screen had dead pixels and then went completely black. Took it to a Samsung affiliate repair center to be fixed and didn't have any issues with it thereafter. I'm hoping that the 8 won't be as bumpy in with operating. The 8 seems slightly thinner and screen also larger. It was easy to import all my info from my old phone to new one. Did take several hours so keep that on mind. Also using the trading program to pay for this upgrade and excited to really test it out.

I have been a loyal Z flip owner since its first launch. I have been upgrading every year ever since. I love flip because it fits in all my small purses and my pocket in my scrubs. I have noticed a much faster processing capacity and smoother opening from beinf closed. I was hesistant to upgrade this time around since I knew there weren't a lot of changes made from Z flip 7 which I most recently had. But I'm glad I chose to upgrade since this one feels better in a lot of ways: processing speed, weight, screen folding etc. I'm excited to explore more of this phone and get more out of it. Thank you Samsung for continuing to produce flip.

I upgraded from the Galaxy Z Flip 6, and I’m honestly very happy with the Flip 8. The first thing I noticed was how much thinner and more refined it feels. It’s noticeably more comfortable to hold and carry, while still keeping everything I loved about the Flip form factor.
The biggest improvement for me, though, is the battery life. With my Flip 6, I was always keeping an eye on the battery throughout the day. With the Flip 8, I can use my phone all day without constantly worrying about finding a charger. That alone has made a huge difference in everyday use.
Overall, the Flip 8 feels like a much more polished and mature version of the Flip. It may look like an incremental upgrade on paper, but the thinner design and improved battery life make a surprisingly big difference in daily use. I’m very happy I upgraded. So worth it.

I choose the flip 8 to upgrade from the flip 6, I loved the pink shade color, but I do love the specs as well because I saw a major improvement while using the phone that I didnt think I would notice. The camera quality is good ,smooth and colors so vibrant,video performance is amazing. I play games a lot and the flip did not over heat on me ,no lag and very responsive. The one thing I can't get over is how light weight it is and thin yet its still easy to open with one hand, I've noticed the spring in the the hinge, at a certain point on opening the flip, you can feel it open on its own and you can still fold it to watch movies without a problem on the small screen or just simply opening it too. I love on the small screen you can adjust the screen size or rotate the phone for any app without restrictions. Im so happy I upgraded I am loving my phone more and more each day.

I chose to get Samsung Z flip again after my previous Samsung Z flip 6. I love the phone because talking on phone has become so much simpler now. Even when I'm working, I can slightly flip the phone and keep it for video mode on without having to rely on anything else. My hands don't get tired of holding the phone.
Plus Z flip 8 has some a cute feature of choosing multiple pictures for the lock screen, which helps me put pictures of my loved ones and reminds me of them whenever I look at my phone.
Additionally, the phone is so light, the screen feels extremely good different and smooth. Even after flipping the phone, it doesn't show the line.
Samsung has taken phones to some other level. Crazily in love with my new phone.

Finally upgraded from the Z Flip 5 to this after several years of reliable use (the battery was finally starting to give out). Overall greatly enhanced experience! Able to do a lot more on cover screen and the device is thinner and lighter (slightly wider, though). The screen quality is also noticeably better. I chose the Z Flip series over Razr because I'm more used to the Samsung system. I'm so happy they finally expanded the cover screen to surround the camera lenses on the Flip 7 and 8 like the Razr series has had for yesrs already.

Wow, not even sure where to start. All I am gonna say is if you want something practical, simple, yet advanced, LOOK NO FURTHER. The Z Flip 8 is a very nice phone. Amazing display, battery is not so bad whatsoever. No need to worry about the hinges when folding, it folds perfectly. The perfomance is exceptional, better than my S25 Ultra which was my previous phone. Get yourself a case, make it more durable but when getting this phone note that you are gonna need to be extra careful with it, as with any phone. You get used to the folding quickly if this is your first Flip. Might have to get the Z Fold 8 Ultra as well 😆. But yes, durability must be considered. Great for making space in your pocket 😆.

The flip 8 perform super smooth,fast with no hiccup.of course,that is snapdragon elite gen 5..but i don't feel different from the 7 exynos.that mean for my everyday use the flip 7 is doing very good.i don't play game or do heavy task.on paper the Snapdragon chip have higher score...if that matter for some body..but still even i love the flip 7 so much.i still think i made the right decision to buy the flip 8.i will put my SIM IN the flip8 next week.but i will never get rid of my flip 7.i wil keep it for a good memory...so as the flp 6 and flip 5..thank you Samsung for making a very nice phone...and please keep making the flip series ..i heard rumor that the flip 8 will be the last of its kind..P.S. I received my Flip 8 on Wednesday, August 8. I chose the Flip 8 because I get a new Flip phone every year, taking advantage of the trade in program offered by Samsung. They get better every year. Most notable of the improvements of the Flip 8 vs the Flip 7 is the speed and battery life. I know the battery power did not significantly change from last year, but it appears the processing speed change has had a positive effect on battery life. Looking forward to working with this phone.

Samsung has been my favorite brand since I was in high school. My first flip phone was a samsung small red flip phone with a little antenna and tiny blue light on the top left whenever i get a message. 20 years later this flip 8 almost mimic my first one but it's better. The size is just right and of course everything else has been improved as far as technology, the esthetic and sound. I chose this creamy flip 8 phone and i couldn't be happier. Im very pleased with the quality and love this phone even more because it brings back memories. Love !

I am disabled and the flip phones come in handy fit in the pockets better I have been a flip phone user for a long time now the Z flip 8 is a great phone the only thing I have is on the cover screen pressing the home button does not return you to the lock screen. The lock screen should be the home page like it was on a Z flip 7 the good lockk app should have its own card or the app card should hold more, be full card itself. I haven only had the Z flip 8 for a few days now still looking at everything that has to offer but I have noticed that a lot of things have become much better

Always wanted the Galaxy Z flip for its pocketable sizing. I chose the Galaxy Z Flip 8 after seeing the summer Galaxy Unpacked event. The refined cover screen's full App access, edge to edge screen and the return to Snapdragon chips convinced me to make the jump. I chose the discreet travel ability for daily carry in pocket. It does not compromise the screen realistate when flipped open. So I get the best of both worlds. I really enjoy the front screen for quick peak at emails, messages and apps. This zflip8 really makes mobility with connection a must have. I feel free from from what seemed liked carrying a brick from the previous phones. They would stick out of your pocket with a bulky inconvenient carry. Very pleased with with this purchase so happy now.

I chose the Flip8, and so far it's been a solid choice. The design is sleek and I really like the pink color. The front screen is convenient for checking notifications and texts without opening the phone.
I was initially concerned about the crease in the center where the phone folds, since that's a common issue with foldables. This is the 8th generation, though, so hopefully Samsung has resolved it.
I use the phone for both work and personal purposes, and it handles the switch between the two well!

I chose the Galaxy Z Flip 8 as I was looking to upgrade from the Z Flip 6, which I was extremely happy with over the 2 years that I had it. The Flip 8 somehow manages to be even thinner than the Flip 6, which is a welcome change, given the appeal of the folding form factor. The improved functionality of the cover screen is also a nice bonus, as it means that I do not have to unfold my phone for the more basic tasks.

I chose the Z Flip 8 as an upgrade from my Z Flip 5. The difference is night and day. It's almost like the fold in the screen doesn't exist. It's completely smooth and a visually stunning display. The move to make the front screen the entire front cover and more functional was the right choice. Time will tell if the screen holds up better than the 5, but overall the phone feels less fragile while also being sleeker. While it is larger than the Z Flip 5, it is thinner and still fits in the teeny tiny pockets they put on women's clothing. The camera quality is great and I can open multiple apps and stream or use Android Auto without the phone overheating. The battery seems to last significantly longer too. After a full day of use I'm at 71% compared to around 40% on my old phone.

I chose I chose the Galaxy Z flip 8 after being a note user for many years. I was nervous about giving up my S Pen but the novelty and practicality of the flip have definitely made up for it. I love how versatile the flip cover is and how you can use it with many apps while keeping your phone in the smaller format and I love how sleek and small the phone transforms but when open I have just about the same screen size as I did with my s25 ultra. I particularly I'm impressed with how unnoticeable the crease in the phone is when in use and open. In fact I almost forgot that the phone flipped the first day I was playing around with it because the crease is so undetectable if anyone has had hesitation now is a good time to get into it. Also coming from the s25 ultra I am loving how light and thin this phone is.

I got this update device because I already own a the previous version. And Samsung out did themselves. The design is easier to handle, lighter and thinner. The quality on image is amazing and the sofware and transfer very user friendly. I am very satisfied that I chose the Flip8.

Upgrading from the Galaxy Z Flip5 was the best decision! I was initially skeptical about foldable screens and whether the crease would be noticeable, but it’s never been an issue. Honestly, I wasn't planning to upgrade since my Flip5 was doing everything I needed, but when I heard this might potentially be the last Flip model, I knew I had to jump on it. I am so glad I chose to buy this phone, it is exceptionally smooth, reliable, and it exceeded all my expectations! I am also in love with the color!

I chose to upgrade to this because I love how compact and minimalist it is without sacrificing functionality. The rear camera selfie feature is still an absolute game-changer for group photos (and always impresses my friends!). At this point, I’m never going back to a non-flip phone.

I am upgrading from a Samsung Galaxy Z flip 6 to a Samsung Galaxy Z flip 8 and the differences are very impressive. The camera is much improved and the battery life feels a lot better. I love the amount of care and thought Samsung gave to the external screen, what you can do now on the outside is so impressive it's almost like having two phones in one. The color is also very nice with the pink tone. Also the opening and closing now is much better than before it has a more satisfying click when it opens and closes. Samsung also continues to do an incredible job with the crease in the screen when the Z Fold 8 is opened.

ever since my Z Flip 6 was ran over by a snowplow in january, i missed having a compact, flippable phone. I chose the flip lineup as they were comapct, easy to carry, and a fun gimmick. now, the Z Flip 8 has adressed the only thing i did not like about the flips so far, and that was the limited functionality of the front screen. i can use the front screen now as i would the main screen basically, which makes some tasks on the phone easier. one thing that really stood out was the refresh rate on the screen. its incredibly fast, almost the fastest ive ever seen on a phone. the crease is also practically invisible, and barely tangible during use when compared to the z flip 6. the only thing i have to critizise so far are the lame colours the phone comes in (i got mine in mint) but ultimately that is a minor thing. would recomend!

I am a returning Android user from 2011. I have been using iOS since the but the Galaxy Z Flip 8 was so enticing that I had no choice but to come back. I chose to switch back to Android due to the compact portability of the Flip 8. So far I love it! I really like that I can scroll through TikTok and Facebook right on the cover screen! I have a lot to learn about this phone and I am eager to do so.

I originally purchased a Fold when the face screen on the Flip was much smaller. I switched to the Flip 6 upon its launch, and I just received a new Flip 8. As someone who loves to stream videos and music, I appreciate the improved screen quality on the Flip 8 with no visible screen crease on the interior screen due to the titanium upgrade. The slightly larger overall size is a better fit for my hand while still compact enough to fit comfortably and securely in my pockets. I am using Gemini vs. Google assistant and it's a game changer for instant access to facts, information and tasking. Overall I am quite pleased with the Galaxy Flip 8 and if it's to be, future Galaxy Flip phones

I have been a Galaxy Z Flip user since the first model, and I chose the Galaxy Z Flip8 after trading in my Z Flip6. I have always loved the compact and stylish foldable design. The Z Flip8 feels smooth, fast, and easy to use. The bright screen, improved camera, and convenient cover screen make it a great upgrade. It fits easily in my pocket or purse and works well for my daily activities. As a long-time Z Flip user, I am very happy with this upgrade.

I have chosen to use the Samsung Flip series since the Flip 4 and I have had excellent results and am happy to upgrade every year without hesitation. It is simple to use and I received the utmost quality for camera gaming and all apps I use. I prefer it and would not use anything else. If you are looking for a phone that is simple to use and prefer high quality outcome then I would recommend this to you. I have no intentions on changing.

Taking it out of the packaging already felt so much more premium than my z Flip6, and that feeling has continued throughout my usage of the device. The large cover screen is easily one of my favorite features already. It's a lot of fun to mess with the resizing of apps on the cover screen to make them work best. I've been gaming and messaging on the cover screen, and it's great.

I am beyond happy that I chose to reunite with Samsung! I wanted to try a flip smart phone and after playing with a different kind for a bit, I found myself missing Samsung, whom I'd been with since 2006 when I got my first android phone. The quality is unmatched. No issues, the response is very quick and I have not had a single experience with the z flip 8 that hasn't been excellent. I highly recommend this phone as it's kind of like having 2 in one. A flip phone where you can use the outer screen for basically every function you'd need but you can also flip it open like the s series phones and get a different phone experience. A+ as always! Samsung knocked it out of the park with this one

I chose the Flip 8 as an upgrade to my Flip5... what can I say? I am in love with the line. As tempting as the other folds are, I needed a form factor that could condense into my small, women's pockets, little bags, and wristlet.
I have had my device for about 2 days and I already note the lighter feel in my hand and the crease is virtually gone compared to the 5.
I love the direction Samsung is going with the Z Flip series.

I chose the Samsung galaxy Z flip series 5 years ago, and was the best decision I ever made, having this device it's a fun travel to my teenage era with the foldable phone! But today I have the excuse to used at work, for training and day by day, it's beautiful, small and lightweight, sometimes I can even notice it's in my pocket! So I'm having this mini heart attack locking for it, but how you can connect this with your watch, tablet and all kind of Samsung devices, you easily can tracked everywhere, the camera its awesome, make easy for you to take videos and photos, I work on construction and the quality for pictures make my work more easy, and I can make beautiful portraits of my little cat "Dolly" she loves pictures to! The versatility of this phone is fantastic, and they outdo themselves every year; this latest version is incredible, and I can't wait to keep learning about all its features.

When I purchased two Flip 6 phones, I wasn't sure I would be a fan of the form factor. After two years of my wife and I taking these phones all over the world, we are both huge fans of Flip's. I chose to upgrade to the Z Flip 8 because I appreciate advanced technology and features. The Flip 8 is still at a reasonable price point while offering many advantages even the Fold line doesn't offer. The size and feather light package are everything. This phone does it all, yet fits in spaces so small there just isn't any other device that compares. My favorite feature however, is to be able to plug in a little fan and set it on the table and be cool with my cool Flip phone. My friends are always envious over that trick.

Because it’s flips and basically folds at an angle I use one half of the screen for YouTube tv and one for YouTube premium. I have this phone mount for Tesla that attaches to the screen. I bend it at a 30 degree angle, and I let the car drive by itself while the audio is connected to the Bluetooth. Amazing.

The phone does not let you remove just certain apps from the cover screen. It lets you add new ones. But the only way to remove apps from the cover is to turn off the apps on the cover screen completely. Tech support said to touch and hold on the app and it should give you the line above it to remove but it does not. The app opens when you do that as if you just touched to open as normal. You can remove widgets but not apps. This makes no sense at all. Hopefully there will be an update soon to fix this issue.

I chose the ZFlip8 because of its size. I work at a school so even thought I love my Galaxy S25 ultra. I need a smaller phone that I can more easily put in my pocket or waist if I have no pockets without my phone getting in the way. The Zflip 8 has so many amazing features but what sold me was how it folds in half and it can be stored in small pockets or bags.

I am so glad Samsung released a pink color for the Z Flip8. My mom has been using the Z Flip7 and I loved using it so much, I had to get my own. The customizations seem endless, and I can really tailor my phone to match my personality. The camera is also good, as I record videos and take pictures often. I love the extra display on the front, especially when others are taking photos of me; I can see what I look like in the photo and adjust if needed. This phone has been a hit with my group of girl friends. I chose the Flip8 because I thought the features, size, and functionality fit my needs.

I chose the Z Flip 8 due to the fact I have had the Z Flip 5, 6, and 7 in the past and love the fold series. The compact size when folded is very practical for me. The Flip 8 is a great extension to this line. I use it for calls and text and music and the cover screen handles this easily along with most functions I need. Home automations and routines are handled easily without even opening my phone. Phone feels solid in operation and operating system is flawless. Again I wish to emphasize the compactness while have the use of a full size top tier smartphone for ALL of my needs.

I chose this Samsung phone because I wanted a reliable device with great performance, a long-lasting battery, and an excellent camera. I use it every day for calls, messaging, browsing the internet, watching videos, taking photos, and staying connected with family and friends. It has been a great experience so far.

I have been waiting since the original release of the z series to finally try the Samsung flip phone. The previous iterations were not exactly what I wanted in a flip phone until now. I am so glad I chose the flip 8 in pink! The color is gorgeous. We need more cute colors like this! I hate the bland color options that have been previously offered. Aside from that the phone is just as reliable as all the previous Samsung offerings I have had (note 9, s23 ultra). I love that this phone is so cute and compact. I can do many things from the half screen itself which is very pleasing. The food in the screen is definitely not as noticeable as previous flips. This phone also gives me so much nostalgia as my first phone was a 2000s flip phone. I'm very happy with it!

I am so glad I chose this phone! Ive had the Flip 6 for about 2 years and just upgraded! The features are fantastic! I love being able to customize my phone anyway I want! The processing speed is fast and so far no glitches!

I chose to upgrade from the Galaxy s24 Ultra to the Galaxy Z-flip 8 and I'm so happy that I did. The phone has a sturdy and lightweight feel to it. The build materials feel premium and I'm very glad Samsung used the snapdragon processor in it. Camera operates as intended with no major flaws or anything defective.

I chose to upgrade from my z flip 6 since it was about time. The new flip 8 made significant improvements - the seamless center fold being the top one! I've noticed a difference in speed and batter life. Love the front screen enhancement and usability. I love the flip since I get to have a full screen while having the option to adjust down when I don't have my handbag, if my handbag is too small and my favorite is to watch Netflix on it. Thanks for making these needed improvements!

I have been a loyal Samsung user since my Samsung Galaxy S3. I have my interest in foldable models for a while. After looking up, I chose Flip 8 for the size. I received it yesterday and I am having fun so far with customizing. I like it how it is bigger than my s25 when unfolded.

I've been using the flip for about 3 years now and I don't think I could go back to a "normal" phone. I chose it initially because it was cool and innovative, now I go back because it's just a good phone. I like that it turns into a little square that can fit wherever I need it. Plus android OS will always be preferable.

I have been with Samsung since the S3 active. After that I discovered the note series. I had the Note 4 and the Note 8 and when the note line went away I chose the ultra. Mostly because I utilized the S-Pen quite a lot. However once the flip series came out I always felt drawn to it. I don't know if it's because I used to have a sidekick or what. But for some reason I never got a flip. I chose the Z flip 8 mostly because it was time for me to upgrade anyways but because I had seen on social media so many videos about the Z flip 7. I fell in love with a Z flip 7. I thought about getting the Z flip 7 until I realized the Z flip 8 would be coming out in just a few months. My 22 Ultra must have known because it started acting a fool. I love the Z flip 8 because it is so compact but yet still a full size phone. I'm able to throw it into my pocket and if you know how women's clothes are our pockets are tiny. This phone has no problem fitting in there. I only recently discovered all of the customizations that you can do on Samsung phones and I have absolutely customized every bit of this flip phone. I finally chose the flip 8 and it is such A vibe. It fits my personality so well. And I hope that Samsung will continue to make the flip series. I am in love and I am sad that I waited so long to choose one of the flip series.
