Which is the latest Galaxy Watch?

The latest Galaxy Watches are Galaxy Watch Ultra2 and Galaxy Watch9, announced during the Samsung Unpacked event in July 2026.

What are the different series of Galaxy smartwatches?

Galaxy has released several series of innovative Watches over the years, each with unique features that improve on the previous generation. Samsung has released five series of Galaxy Watch: Standard, Classic, Pro, Ultra and Active. Each Series has a unique look and is engineered for a specific purpose.

Galaxy Watch is the base line, but it’s anything but basic. These watches are engineered for everyday use and packed full of all the tech you need to track workouts, sleep, heart rate and other elements of your wellness.1 They’re typically available in two sizes.

The main difference of Galaxy Watch Classic is in its styling. Galaxy Watch Classic is designed to look and feel like a classic wristwatch, made from stainless steel, complete with a rotating bezel. Like the other lines, it’s made for everyday use and made to stand up to whatever the day throws at you. For those who are looking for a Galaxy Watch that goes with a suit and a tank top equally well, Galaxy Watch Classic is for you.

Last released in 2022, Galaxy Watch5 Pro was built for outdoor enthusiasts, and included a titanium frame and a long-lasting battery. Galaxy Pro Series included tech for outdoor cyclists and runners and was meant for those who desired a more rugged Galaxy Watch that fit with their lifestyle.

Galaxy Watch Ultra Series is the supercharged version of what the Pro Series started. Typically offered at a higher price point, Galaxy Watch Ultra Series is the high-performance line, engineered for fitness enthusiasts, outdoor adventurers and those that demand the best from their bodies and their tech. Built with a lightweight, durable titanium case with Gorilla Glass, it’s designed to withstand high impact activities and extreme environments. Galaxy Watch Ultra has a sporty yet rugged look with a large size for maximum visibility. The latest Galaxy Watch Ultra2 puts its astounding capabilities on full display. Powerful health tracking features, intuitive AI2 and an ultra-durable titanium case make it an absolute must if you’re adventuring on a trail or pounding the pavement in the big city.

Galaxy Watch Active was last released in 2019 and was a Series that was lightweight and fitness-focused. It was released as a more affordable version of the Basic line and included a slimmed down offering of apps and capabilities compared to the other lines.

Galaxy Watch Ultra2

Built for the times when you venture off the beaten path, Galaxy Watch Ultra2 is Samsung’s newest, most advanced, outdoor-ready smartwatch designed to help you go farther.
